BOOK A TOUR

Time to try networking that doesn’t feel like networking?

April 20th 2026

At The Nucleus, community isn’t built through forced introductions or awkward 60-second pitches. More often, it starts with something much simpler: a slice of pizza, a drink, and a conversation that happens naturally.

That’s exactly what our regular beer and pizza event are all about.

They are deliberately informal. There’s no agenda, no pressure, and no expectation to “perform”. Just a relaxed space where the businesses based at The Nucleus can step away from their desks, catch up, and connect in a way that feels natural.

And that’s exactly why they work.

Why it matters

Community can be one of those words that gets overused. But in practice, it has a real impact on how businesses grow.

For many founders, consultants and small teams, work can be isolating. You’re making decisions on your own, solving problems in your own head, and rarely getting the chance to sense-check ideas with people who understand.

These events change that.

They create space for:

  • Conversations that spark new ideas,
  • Introductions that turn into collaborations.
  • Shared experiences that build trust over time.
  • Even an opportunity to just decompress.

It’s not about collecting business cards. It’s about building relationships that make day-to-day business easier, more informed, and often more enjoyable.

Community in practice

The best part? These connections don’t stop when the evening ends.

What starts over a drink often carries through into the working day - whether that’s a quick chat in the kitchen, a recommendation, or simply knowing there’s someone nearby who’s been through the same challenge.

That’s what makes The Nucleus different. The community isn’t something that’s switched on for an event and then disappears. It’s part of how the centre works, day in, day out.

A look back at March

Our most recent beer and pizza evening in March was another great example of this in action.

The space was full, conversations flowed easily, and it was clear just how varied and supportive the business community here has become. From new customers, including from the coworking space, meeting their neighbours for the first time, to familiar faces catching up, the atmosphere was exactly what we aim for: relaxed, welcoming and genuinely useful.

Join us in June

The next beer and pizza evening will take place in June, and all customers are welcome to come along.

If you’re already based at The Nucleus, it’s a great opportunity to reconnect, meet new people, and take a step away from the working day.

And if you’re not yet part of the community, it’s a chance to see what makes The Nucleus different.

At The Nucleus, you don’t just get a desk or an office. You get access to a community that supports you in ways that are often informal, sometimes unexpected, but always valuable.

If that sounds like something your business could benefit from, why not come and see it for yourself?

When the working day ends, The Nucleus doesn’t

There’s a moment, usually just after the laptops close and the emails stop, when a workspace either empties… or evolves. At The Nucleus, it’s the latter. Recently, one of our customers, Jas from Massage Holistic Therapy, transformed one of our meeting rooms into something entirely different: a calm, immersive space […]

Lights, camera… opportunity: when Stranger Things came to The Nucleus

Opportunity is this month’s theme at The Nucleus. It’s hard to imagine a better real-world example than what happened when our space played host to a film crew working on One Last Adventure: The Making of Stranger Things Season 5. The opportunity came about at short notice. Production company Wolfshoulder […]
