The Nucleus is looking for an ambitious café operator with a strong business head, great hospitality instincts and plenty of ideas to take on our on-site café.

This is more than an opportunity to serve coffee and lunch. It’s a chance to shape an offer around an established community of businesses, their teams and visitors – and build a café people genuinely want to use.

Based at The Bridge in Dartford, The Nucleus is home to a diverse community of start-ups, growing businesses and established companies, alongside meeting and conference facilities that bring additional visitors into the centre.

We’re looking for an operator who can see the potential in that audience.

Someone who understands what busy professionals want from a great workplace café and can bring the commercial thinking, energy and hospitality experience needed to make it work.

There is scope to develop a compelling grab-and-go offer for people working in the centre, while also catering for meetings and events and attracting customers from the wider Bridge Estate.

That could mean better breakfast and lunch choices, great coffee, convenient food to go, meeting catering or fresh ideas we haven't thought of yet.

Who are we looking for?

This could be a great fit for an experienced café or catering operator looking for their next opportunity, or an ambitious hospitality entrepreneur ready to develop their own concept.

We're particularly interested in hearing from people who can combine excellent customer service with commercial thinking – understanding their audience, responding to demand and building a sustainable café business.

You’ll also become part of the wider Nucleus community: an established business and innovation centre designed to help ambitious businesses connect and grow.
